Natural products are rich in skeleton types and have wide biological activities. They are one of the important sources of innovating drugs and have been occupying a key position in the development of new drugs.Microorganism features a short livespan, and has been investigated to produce metabolites with novel structures and wide range of functions. It can be industrialized through large-scale fermentation, and provides important leading compounds for antibiotic and antitumor drugs. The secondary metabolites of Fusarium proliferatum and Aspergillus sp.were studied. The fungi were fermented with selected appropriate culture conditions under the guidance of chemical fingerprint analysis. The crude fermentation extracts were isolated by using separation methods such as silica gel column chromatography, medium pressure semi-preparative chromatography, gel column chromatography, and reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography.Later,high-resolution mass spectrometry, nuclear magnetic resonance, infrared, and ultraviolet spectroscopic data were used to identify the structure. The isolated new compounds were evaluated for in vitro anti-inflammatory activity.Ten compounds were isolated and identified from the malt fermentation of the insect fungus F.proliferatum, including three new compounds, fusariprol A(2*),fuasriprol B(3*),fusariprol C(4*),and seven known compounds 6,8-dihydroxy-3-(2'-acetyl-3',5'-dihydroxyphenyl)methylisocoumarin(1),methyl ester of 9,10-dehydrofusaric acid(5),9,10-dehydrofusaric acid(6),fusaric acid(7),8-dimethoxy-3-methylisocoumarin(8),fusarin C(9),fusarin F(10).Ten compounds,asteltoxin(11),asteltoxin C(12),9-deoxyinsulicolide A(13),aspinolide B(14),ochratoxin A(15),penicillic acid(16),semi-vioxanthin(17),vioxanthin(18),viomellein(19),xanthomegnin(20)were isolated and identified from the malt fermentation of marine fungus Aspergillus sp..In summary, this paper made a brief review of the study on bioactive secondary metabolites of fungi from insect and marine sources, respectively.A preliminary study on the secondary metabolites of two fungi was conducted.A total of 20 compounds were isolated and identified, including three new compounds, which enriched the chemical structural diversity of natural products. They represented a rare class of isocoumarin compounds, which were always acquired by chemical synthesis.
