Objective: To observe the effect of ocular surface protection technology on ocular surface lear film in UVA/Riboflavin corneal cross-linking surgery(CXL),and to observe the dry eye symptoms of patients after femtosecond laser LASIK(FS-LASIK)combined with CXL.Methods: Ten patients(20 eyes)who underwent conventional femtosecond laserassisted valve-making LASIK in our hospital were randomly divided into experimental group and control group.Both groups were received CXL.After excimer laser treatment,the matrix bed was washed,the riboflavin was soaked with 0.25% riboflavin for 90 seconds,and the corneal flaps were replaced.In the experimental group,the cornea and scleral limbus were covered with a disposable orifice towel.The two groups were irradiated with 370 nm ultraviolet 30 mv/cm2 for 90 seconds at the same time.One month after operation,the anterior segment analysis system was used to analyze the breakup time of tear film and the height of lacrimal river.Membrane epithelium staining with sodium fluorescein was used to observe epithelium cell staining.Dry eyes were graded by dry eye tester and interference principle to analyze the effect of this method on the expression of eyes in patients undergoing cross-linking surgery.Results: One month after CXL,the height of lacrimal River in the experimental group and the control group were 0.22±0.10 mm and 0.24±0.11 mm(Z=-1.755,P=0.079)respectively;the first breakup time of tear film was 7.80±3.72 s and 9.20±6.17 s(Z=-0.357,P=0.721)respectively;the average breakup time of tear film was 11.61±4.20 s and 12.85±5.76s(P=0.519)respectively;the dry eye grade was 1.00±0.67 and 0.80±0.79 Z=-0.816,P=0.414)respectively;the corneal epithelial fluorescent sodium pigments staining was 0.10±0.32 and 0.20±0.63(Z=-0.447,P=0.655)respectively,and all results are no significant difference.Conclusion: In femtosecond laser LASIK combined with corneal collagen crosslinking surgery,the application of ocular surface protection technology did not improve dry eye condition,nor the adverse effects of CXL on ocular surface lear film.
