The world drug problem is becoming more and more serious.Up to now,the drug problem is still a worldwide social problem. Some studies show that the relapse rate can reach more than 90%after three months of detoxification. In this context,it is urgent to reflect on the shortcomings of the past detoxification model and explore new and effective methods. Most of the previous studies focused on the failure of repeated detoxification, using quantitative research methods to explore the factors that lead to the failure or relapse of addiction. On the one hand, while focusing on the failure of repeated detoxification,we should also see that there are still some people who have fallen into the abyss, but they can break through the definition that we often think that "it is impossible to give up drugs".On the other hand, quantitative research is a quantitative measurement of the surface layer of phenomena from the perspective of the macro whole, which can not explain its internal psychological process, dynamic process and mechanism of action. In the process of measurement,it is easy to be affected by other factors and lead to distortion of results. Some statistical indicators only reflect the overall situation, and the actual situation of individuals is often ignored. In this context, this study intends to take a qualitative approach to further explore the psychological history of substance abusers.Qualitative research can explain the phenomenon of research. On the one hand,it will be more conducive for us to deeply explore the inner experience and dynamic change process of drug addicts, and fully understand their psychological state and desire, and also more deeply understand the factors that affect their behavior of substance abuse,as well as the internal mechanism of these factors,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the exploration of more effective help measures and the development of psychological related work in the future. On the other hand,it is also the verification and supplement of quantitative research. In this context, this study adopts the chain sampling strategy to select 7 subjects who successfully continue rehabilitating from drug abuse in 5 years. With the assistance of XX compulsory isolation and rehabilitation center,it adopts the convenient sampling strategy to select 7 subjects who repeatedly relapse.Through the self-made interview outline, the author conducted an in-depth interview on their substance abuse process, and then conducted a phenomenological analysis on the interview data by using 7 steps of Colaizzi phenomenological research data analysis to explore the process of drug addicts'continuous addiction and relapse. The conclusion is as follows:(1)There are five main reasons for drug abuser's first exposure:curiosity, underestimation of consequences, following the crowd, deception by others, and showing their identity.Among them, ignorance and curiosity are the main reasons for drug abuser's first exposure;(2)Continuous drug use is the result of many factors. The main reasons for the continuous drug use of substance abusers include:no willingness to change, high pressure for survival,no physical withdrawal, negative change expectations, weak social support, easy access to drugs;(3)Continuous abstinence is not a mutation process, but a dynamic change process. There are stages and continuity, including the opportunity stage of drug treatment change and the stage of continuous abstinence. Each stage affected will have an impact on the final effect of abstinence;(4)There are differences in cognition between the successful and relapsed addicts, which are mainly reflected in the following six dimensions:Cognition of drugs, stress events, physical abstinence,self-efficacy,social support, drug use environment, and cognitive change is the key to the change of drug treatment. Finally, the innovation of this study is described from the aspects of research methods. The shortcomings of this study and the prospect of future research are discussed from the aspects of samples and research methods.Combined with the results of the study, some suggestions are put forward for the drug rehabilitation work in the future from three aspects of prevention, correction and rehabilitation.
