Purpose The correlation between high-frequency ultrasound combined with the expression of serum thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)and the benign and malignant thyroid cystic solid nodules was discussed.A retrospective analysis of patients who met the criteria for the diagnosis of cystic and solid thyroid nodules was performed, with the aim of identifying the benign and malignant thyroid cystic and solid nodules earlier and more accurately based on the high frequency ultrasound and serum thyroid-stimulating hormone expression levels,so as to improve the curative effect and improve the prognosis of patients. Methods In this study,247 patients(28 ? 81 years old)who underwent thyroid ultrasound and met the diagnostic criteria of cystic and solid thyroid nodules from 2016 to 2019 were analyzed and evaluated, including 43 males and 204 females. To analyze the diagnostic value of high-frequency ultrasound combined with TSH in benign and malignant thyroid cystic solid nodules with the results of thyroid surgical biopsy or fine needle aspiration biopsy as the "gold standard".Results Results of high frequency ultrasound : 151 cases were benign and 96 cases were malignant, the sensitivity, specificity, benign predictive value and malignantpredictive value of high frequency ultrasound were 76.10%,65.91%,80.13% and60.42%,respectively.Compared with pathological biopsy,Kappa value was 0.429,and the consistency was normal. The results of high frequency ultrasound combined with serum TSH expression showed that 153 cases were benign and 94 cases were malignant, the diagnostic sensitivity of benign and malignant thyroid cystic and solid nodules was90.57%,specificity was 89.77%,benign predictive value was 94.12% and malignant predictive value was 84.04%.Compared with pathological biopsy,Kappa value was0.791,the consistency was good.Ccompared with high frequency ultrasound detection,high-frequency ultrasound combined with serum TSH level detection for the diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid cystic and solid nodules of the sensitivity, specificity, benign and malignant prediction value were significantly different(p < 0.05).The value of high-frequency ultrasound combined with TSH in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodules is significantly higher than that of high-frequency ultrasound alone. Conclusion The diagnostic value of high-frequency ultrasound combined with serum TSH expression in benign and malignant thyroid nodules is higher than that of high-frequency ultrasound alone. It is suggested that high-frequency ultrasound combined with serum TSH expression is of higher diagnostic value in preoperative evaluation of benign and malignant thyroid nodules.
