With the continuous improvement of China's medical and health conditions, more and more patients can enjoy quality medical services; At the same time, the continuous development of the society also makes patients' demand awareness and expectations for quality service higher and higher. However, due to the lack of understanding of the specialty and specialty of medicine, many patients and their families place high expectations on the therapeutic effect. If the effect is not as expected, the patients and their families will feel that the level of medical care in the hospital is so poor that there will be conflicts between words and actions. In this context, disputes are inevitable.By using the methods of literature research, comparative analysis and expert consultation, this paper firstly analyzes the causes of doctor-patient disputes from three aspects: society, doctors and patients. Then it analyzes the traditional mediating mode of doctor-patient dispute in China. After a dispute occurs, there are usually two solutions available. One is to use legal means to solve disputes. However, the procedure of this method is complicated, and needs to pay a high cost, and also needs to spend a lot of time and energy;Another way is through the health supervision and management department mediation disputes. As the health supervision and management department and the hospital belong to the superior and subordinate relationship,it is difficult to maintain neutrality,it is easy for patients and their families to doubt their social credibility, and it is also difficult to start the medical malpractice identification process. In this case, this paper believes that it is necessary to use the third party mediation to resolve the contradiction between doctors and patients. This paper first explains and compares the three modes of mediating between doctors and patients, namely people's mediation, industry mediation and insurance mediation. After comparison,it is found that these three models have their own advantages, but their disadvantages and shortcomings are also very obvious. Therefore, this paper thinks that it is necessary to choose a new mediation mode, which combines people's mediation and insurance mediation in the third-party mediation mode of doctor-patient disputes,so as to construct the "people's and insurance co-governance mode".It is found that the "people and co-governance" mode is the ideal choice to resolve the contradiction between doctors and patients, solve the disputes between doctors and patients, and build a harmonious doctor-patient relationship. The model of "people and co-governance" has incomparable advantages over the traditional third-party mediation model, but it also has some limitations and shortcomings. Therefore, this paper believes that it is necessary to establish and perfect the laws and regulations of "people, insurance and co-governance",to implement the compulsory medical liability insurance system,to build a professional mediation team of "people, insurance and co-governance",to improve the public's understanding of the "people, insurance and co-governance" model, and to establish the financial support system of "people, insurance and co-governance" for doctor-patient disputes.
