Objective:To investigate the significance of albumin/globulin ratio(AGR)in patients with bladder cancer of different stages. Methods:The clinical data of 115 patients with non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer(NMIBC),36 patients with muscle-invasive bladder cancer(MIBC)and 49 healthy subjects were collected and analyzed. On the basis of the receiver operator characteristic curve(ROC),the optimal cut-off value of AGR for recurrence and metastasis in patients with bladder cancer of different stages was determined, and the clinicopathological characteristics,3-year relapse-free survival rate and 3-year tumor-free survival rate of bladder cancer of different stages were compared according to the optimal cut-off value. Results:AGR values were different in normal population,NMIBC patients and MIBC patients(P<0.05),and different in NMIBC patients and MIBC patients(P<0.05).AGR values were different in tumor stage, tumor size and tumor grade in patients with NMIBC(P<0.05),the 3-year recurrence free survival rate of the low AGR group(?1.37)was significantly lower than that of the high AGR group(>1.37)(P<0.05).AGR values were different in gender and tumor stage in patients with MIBC(P<0.05),the 3-year tumor-free survival rate of the low AGR group(?1.33)was significantly lower than that of the high(>1.33)group(P<0.05).Conclusion:AGR may be a simple and effective prognostic biomarker for patients with bladder cancer.
