Objective:To investigate the levels and significance of interleukin-18(IL-18)and neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin(NGAL)in patients with unstable angina pectoris(UA)and essential hypertension(EH).methods:A total of 238 patients undergoing coronary angiography at the Department of Cardiology,Affiliated Hospital of Chengde Medical University from April 2018 to April 2019 were collected and divided into UA + EH group(n = 95)and UA group(n = 53)according to whether EH was combined),EH group(n = 46),control group(n = 44).Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was used to detect the serum levels of IL-18 and NGAL in subjects, and the differences, interrelationships and predictive value of each index were analyzed. Results:Compared with the control group, the levels of serum IL-18 and NGAL in the UA + EH group were higher than other three groups(P <0.05);correlation analysis showed that serum IL-18 and NGAL were significantly positively correlated with the coronary artery Gensini scores in patients with UA + EH(P <0.05);factorial design analysis of variance showed that UA and EH interacted with serum IL-18 and NGAL levels.A further simple effect analysis showed that IL-18 and NGAL levels in UA + EH patients were higher than those in UA group. The IL-18 level of patients in the EH group was 32.732 ng / L higher than that of UA patients, which was 119.927 ng / L higher than that of UA patients. The NGAL level of UA + EH patients was 10.403 ng / L higher than that of EH patients, which was higher than that of UA patients.26.305 ng / L(all P <0.05);ROC analysis showed that the combined detection of IL-18 and NGAL had a higher predictive value for UA + EH(P < 0.05).Multiple logistic regression analysis: IL-18 and NGAL were independent risk factors for UA + EH(P <0.05).Conclusions:There is an interaction between UA and EH in the elevated levels of IL-18 and NGAL.Multiple indicators combined to detect UA + EH have high clinical value.IL-18 and NGAL may be independent risk factors for patients with UA and UA complicated by hypertension.
