Background: Pancreas transplantation(PTx)is the recommended treatment for type 1diabetes and selected cases of Type 2.It's reported that the operation of PVD is benefit in PTx which is in dispute.A high-quality animal pancreas transplantation model with physiological blood flow characteristics is needed in basic research on PTx of PVD.Mice are widely used in laboratory and have advantages in studying pancreatic immune injury and endocrine but we did not find a model of PTx with PVD in mice.Target:To establish a model of intraperitoneal PTx with PVD in mice.Method : The donor pancreas retains the abdominal aorta between the superior mesenteric artery and the celiac artery and the portal vein.Intubation technique was used to connect the blood vessels including abdominal aorta,splenic vein and portal vein.Result: We established a new model of PTx in mice with PVD(Schematic diagram)by means of microsurgical technique.The survival rate was 93.3%(28/30)and the functional rate was 92.9%(26/28).Demonstrated in diabetic mice,other relevant indicators(the survival time,the operation time,the cold/warm ischemia time and the transplanted pancreas function)of the model are also satisfactory.Conclusion:This model is replicable and reliable,and can be used in the studies of PVD operation of PTx,preservation of pancreas perfusion,pancreatic ischemia reperfusion injury and pancreatic immune injury.
