Correlation Between Impaired Glucose Tolerance And Abnormal Lipid Metabolism In Phlegm Dampness Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Objective: to analyze the general situation,clinical signs and lipid metabolism indexes of patients with phlegm dampness type polycystic ovary syndrome under two different glucose tolerance states,To find and intervene the IGT status of PCOS patients with phlegm dampness type in time,and to prevent the long-term complications such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease.Methods:748 cases of PCOS of phlegm dampness type were retrospectively included in the clinical research information integration system of Gynecology Outpatient Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of traditional Chinese medicine from May 2013 to January 2020.According to the diagnostic criteria of IGT and NGT,they were divided into two groups: normal glucose tolerance(NGT)group 415 cases and impaired glucose tolerance(IGT)group 258 cases.The general situation,clinical signs and lipid metabolism indexes of the two groups were recorded,Statistical analysis.Result:1.The scores of age,waist circumference,hip circumference,WHR,body weight,BMI,hairiness,acne and black spine skin of PCOS patients with phlegm dampness type in IGT group were higher than those in NGT group(P <0.05).There was no significant difference in height,menarche age and lipid spillage between the two groups(P >0.05).2.Compared with PCOS patients of phlegm dampness type,the incidence of dyslipidemia in IGT group was 81.40%,and that in NGT group was 52.05%.The incidence of TG,TC and LDL-C in IGT group was significantly higher than that in NGT group.3.Through correlation analysis,IGT was positively correlated with TG,LDL-C and Apo-B in blood lipid index,and negatively correlated with HDL-C in PCOS with phlegm dampness type(P <0.05).Conclusion:1.The obese patients with phlegm dampness PCOS,especially those with abdominal obesity,are more likely to suffer from impaired glucose tolerance,and the patients with hirsutism,acne and acanthosis nigricans are more serious than those with NGT.2.Patients with PCOS of phlegm dampness type have different degree of lipid metabolism disorder,and patients with IGT have more serious lipid metabolism disorder than those with NGT.3.IGT was correlated with abnormal lipid metabolism in patients with phlegm dampness PCOS.
