Objective:Contrast the convenience,stability and clinical efficacy of the improved distal radius integrated splint and traditional small splint for the fixation of extension type distal radius fractures,and provide scientific theoretical basis for the clinical advantages of the distal radius integrated splintMethods:Thirty patients who met the inclusion criteria in the orthopedic outpatient department and emergency department of The First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected from August 2018 to August 2019.The treatment group was fixed with the distal radius integrated splint,and the contrast group was fixed with the traditional small splint.The two groups of patients were compared in terms of convenience,fracture healing time,X-ray data,VAS score and wrist joint function.The relevant data were analyzed with SPSS 25.0 statistical software.Results:At the end of treatment,there were 15 effective cases in the treatment group and 15 effective cases in the contrast group.All patients were followed up for 12 weeks1.General information:There were no significant differences in gender,age,and affected wrist sides between the two groups(P>0.05),and the patients in the two groups were comparable2.Convenience:In terms of convenience,the treatment group was better than the contrast group(comparison between groups P<0.05,the difference was statistically significant),which showed that the improved distal radius integrated splint is more convenient in clinical use3.X-ray data:Before treatment,there were no significant differences in Palm inclination,ulnar deviation,and radius height between the two groups(P>0.05),and the two groups were comparable.The comparison between after reduction and the group before treatment showed that both the treatment group and the contrast group achieved satisfactory reduction(P<0.05).At the 4th,6th,and 12th weeks of treatment,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),which showed that the treatment group was more stable in fracture fixation and has less reduction loss during the treatment process4.Fracture healing time:There was no statistically significant difference between the treatment group and the contrast group(P>0.05),which showed that the two fixation methods are equivalent in terms of fracture healing time5.VAS score:The comparison between the first day of treatment and the group before treatment showed that the results of the treatment group and the contrast group were both P<0.05,which showed that the two fixation methods can alleviate the pain well.There was no statistically significant difference between the treatment group and the contrast group(P>0.05),which showed that the two fixation methods are equivalent in terms of pain relief6.Wrist joint function:At the 12th week of treatment,the wrist Gartland-Werley score of the two groups showed P>0.05,which showed that the two fixation methods are equivalent in restoring wrist joint function However,in terms of the excellent rate of wrist joint function,the treatment group was higher than the contrast group(the excellent rate of the treatment group was 93.33%,and the excellent rate of the contrast group was 86.67%)Conclusion:Compared with the traditional small splint,the distal radius integrated splint is more convenient and stable,it has less reduction loss during the treatment.In addition,the distal radius integrated splint can obtain a higher rate of excellent wrist joint function,which is worthy of clinical use and promotion.
