In today's society,cancer has become the leading cause of death for people around the world.The main methods of treating cancer include chemotherapy and radiation therapy,but it has strong drug resistance and large toxic and side effects.Therefore,we need to explore more effective anti-tumor drugs and treatment methods with small toxic and side effects to treat cancer.Chinese herbal medicines are rich in resources and widely available,which provides unlimited possibilities for the development of new anti-tumor drugs.In recent years,many kinds of antitumor substances have been extracted from Chinese herbal medicine and applied in clinic.Before this experiment,through consulting literature and books,we found that Alpinia katsumadai Hayata contains a variety of antitumor compounds.The purpose of this study is to explore a set of steps for the separation and purification of active substances in Alpinia katsumadai Hayata and to identify the structure of their active compounds.Two antitumor compounds and a substance promoting cell growth were isolated from Alpinia katsumadai Hayata for the first time,and their cell activities were studied.In this topic,a series of natural products separation techniques were adopted,including macroporous resin separation,vacuum liquid chromatography,ODS reverse phase chromatography column,gel chromatography column,thin layer chromatography,high performance liquid chromatography and preparative liquid chromatography.Eight kinds of compounds and?9?substance with undetermined structure were obtained.They are?1?Cardamom?2??3S,5S?-trans-3,5-dihydroxy-1,7-diphenyl-hept-1-ene?3?Alpinetin?4?Pinocembrin?5?vanillic acid?6?p-counmaric acid?7??+?-catechin?8??-?-epicatechin?9?C29H24O7.Among them?7?-?10?was first found in the ethyl acetate extract of Alpinia katsumada,It has a good inhibitory effect on p-counmaric acid and epicatechin on breast cancer MCF-7 cells.The IC50 values are 14.6?g/mL and 85.1?g/mL respectively.At the same time,it was found that there is a substance in Alpinia katsumadai Hayata,which can promote cell growth,but its structure is uncertain and needs further to study.
