| Objective: To compare the clinical efficacy of uniportal VATS with three-port VATS in the treatment of benign esophageal tumors,so as to investigate the safety,feasibility and advantage of uniportal VATS for benign esophageal tumors.Methods: The clinical data of 65 patients with benign esophageal tumors who underwent surgical treatment from January 2010 to June 2019 in our department were retrospectively analyzed.The patients were divided into the uniportal VATS group and the three-port VATS group according to different surgical methods.The statistical methods of student's t test and chi-square test were used to analyze the data of the operation time,intraoperative blood loss,postoperative drainage time,postoperative complications,postoperative pain level and postoperative hospital days of the two groups.Results: During the study,we successfully performed VATS on 62 patients.Among them,26 patients underwent uniportal VATS surgery,36 patients underwent three-port VATS surgery.Three patients were converted to thoracotomy.Mucosal injury occurred in 3 patients during the operation and was repaired.There were no intraoperative or postoperative deaths between the two groups.There were no significant differences in operative time,intraoperative blood loss,postoperative drainage time,postoperative complications,and postoperative hospital stays.The postoperative pain in the uniportal VATS group was significantly less than that in the three-port VATS group.Conclusions: 1.The uniportal VATS is a safe and feasible surgical method for benign esophageal tumors and should be considered as a beneficial alternative to three-port VATS.2.Compared with three-port VATS,the uniportal VATS can reduce surgical trauma and postoperative pain in treating benign esophageal tumors,and obtain better incision cosmetic effect.3.In some special cases,when thoracoscopy is difficult to remove the tumor,thoracotomy is still the first choice. |
