Objective : To explore the correlative factors of preoperative selective Arterial Embolization(SAE)affecting intraoperative Hemorrhage in Spinal tumors.Materials and Methods:All 35 cases of spinal tumors admittted to The Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University Medical College.During January,2014 to January2019 were analysized retrospectively, which include 3 cases of benign tumors,2 cases of bordline tumors and 30 cases of malignant tumors. All patients were treated with selective arterial embolization within 72 hours before operation. The information of sex, age, extent of tumor invasion, diameter of embolization material, interval between embolization and operation, and the degree of embolization were selected.SPSS software 19.0 software system(SPSS Inc.,Chicago,IL,USA)was used for statistical analyses. The range variable is expressed as the amount of bleeding. The relationship between the blood loss and each variable was determined by Pearson correlation test.T test was used to explore the correlation between blood loss and other variables, and P < 0.05 were considered significant. Results:The pathological type of the tumor is the most important factor influencing the volume of bleeding during the operation(p=0.027),while there are no significant difference between sex, age, tumor range, diameter of embolization material, interval between embolization and operation and the degree of embolization and the blood loss during the operation. Conclusion: In order to ensure the effect of the embolization,we suggested to have the operation after embolization as soon as possible.Aiming to complete embolization, materials should be selected flexibly according to the DSA.Different types of pathology are the most important factors affecting the volume of bleeding during the operation after embolization.Especially for metastatic renal tumor, malignant giant cell tumor of bone, etc, preoperative embolization is of special importance.
