Objective:To investigate the role of SSRS in the disease evolution of patients with cirrhosis.Materials and methods:Patients with cirrhosis who were admitted to our hospital for bleeding and ascites were collected from December 2018 to January 2020.Among them,37 patients were diagnosed with SSRS by imaging as a test group(SSRS gruop),and 65 patients who had never had SSRS were randomly selected as a control group(Non-SSRS group). The general medical history, biochemical indicators and imaging datas of all included patients were collected for statistical analysis by SPSS 22.0 software. Results:In this study,a total of 1654 patients with cirrhosis were collected, including 37 patients with SSRS,and the incidence of SSRS was 2.2%.There was no significant difference in total bilirubin, glutamate transaminase, glutamate transaminase and platelet levels between SSRS group and Non-SSRS group. However,ALP and albumin were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were significant statistical differences in Child-Pugh grading and cholinesterase between SSRS group and Non-SSRS group, while there were no significant differences in coagulation function and MELD score. The presence of SSRS may also affect the diameter of portal vein trunk, but there is no significant correlation with the diameter of splenic vein.Comparison in the SSRS group showed that the diameter of portal vein trunk was correlated with that of splenic vein(P < 0.01).This study also found that patients in the SSRS group were more likely to have HE and PVT(P < 0.01),but the severity of ascites was reduced. The study found that the incidence of esophageal and gastric varices in the SSRS group was relatively low,but the incidence of varices bleeding was higher than that in the non-ssrs group, and there was no statistical significance between the two groups. Conclusion:SSRS can reduce the severity of ascites to a certain extent, affect the inner diameter of portal vein trunk, increase the incidence of portal vein thrombosis and hepatic encephalopathy, even reduce liver perfusion, and accelerate the progression of cirrhosis.
