Clinical Study Of Xiaoxianxiong Decoction And Banxia Shumi Decoction In The Treatment Of Benzodiazepines-dependent

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Xiaoxianxiong Decoction and Banxia-shumi Decoction in the treatment of phlegm-heat harassing spirit type of benzodiazepine drug-dependent insomnia,and compare the mental status of BZDs dependent insomnia patients and the mental status after treatment.Methods: 60 patients with BZDs dependent insomnia were randomly assigned in a randomized controlled trial.There were 30 cases in the treatment group and 30 cases in the control group.The treatment group was treated with Xiaoxianxiong Decoction and Banxia-shumi Decoction.The control group was treated with zopiclone tablet instead.The two groups were treated with BZDs decreasing withdrawal.The course of treatment was 4weeks.Before and after treatment,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality index,TCM syndrome integral scale and self-assessment anxiety scale were evaluated.Result:(1)After treatment,the insomnia symptoms of the patients in the treatment group and the control group were improved,and the Pittsburgh score was reduced(P < 0.01).The sleep improvement of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P < 0.01).After treatment,the total effective rate of the two groups was 93.1% and 89.3% respectively.The therapeutic effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P < 0.01).(2)After treatment,the main symptoms of insomnia in the treatment group and the control group were significantly improved(P < 0.01),the treatment group was better than the control group(P < 0.01),the total rate of clinical efficacy evaluation of the main symptoms of insomnia was 96.6% and 85.7%,respectively,and the treatment group was better than the control group(P < 0.01).(3)After treatment,the total score of main symptom and concurrent symptom of insomnia in the treatment group and the control group decreased(P < 0.01),and the treatment group was better than the control group(P < 0.01).The total effective rate of clinical evaluation was 96.6% in the treatment group and 57.1% in the control group(P < 0.01).The treatment group not only improved the main insomnia symptoms of the patients with phlegm heat disturbing the mind type BZDs dependent insomnia,but also improved the concurrent symptoms significantly.The control group only improved the main symptoms of insomnia,but not the concurrent symptoms.(4)Most of the patients in the treatment group(SAS average score: 56.62 ± 4.66)and the control group(SAS average score: 55.21 ± 6.56)had anxiety before treatment,and the SAS score decreased after treatment(P <0.01).Conclusion:(1)Xiaoxianxiong Decoction and Banxia-shumi Decoction have obvious clinical effect in the treatment of BZDs dependent insomnia,which can improve the insomnia symptoms,especially the "stomach disharmony" accompanied by insomnia.(2)BZDs dependent insomnia patients have different degrees of anxiety symptoms.Xiaoxianxiong Decoction and Banxia-shumi decoction can improve the insomnia symptoms and anxiety symptoms at the same time.
