Objective:To discuss the effect of mind-control game training on middle-aged and elderly adults with mild and moderate cognitive impairment. And to explore the clinical feasibility of mind-control game training as a nondrug therapy. Methods:A total of 56 patients with cognitive impairment, especially amnestic people, were divided into mild cognitive impairment group and moderate cognitive impairment group. They whole have to examined by minimental state examination(MMSE)、Montreal Cognitive Assessment(Mo CA)and Alzheimer’s Disease Assessment Scale-Cognitive subscale(ADAS-Cog).After 5 days, the patients in both groups were given 10 days of mind-control game training about 30 minutes every day.Electroencephalogram(EEG)examination was performed on the 1st,5th and 10 th day of training, and EEG Lempel-Ziv complexity(LZC)and approximate entropy(Ap En)were processed. At the end of the 10 th day training,MMSE、Mo CA and ADAS-Cog were tested again. All the patients were recorded with outpatient medical records, including general information, scale scores and 10 days of training.Results:1.Comparison of neuropsychological cognitive scales(1)After 10 days of training,MMSE、Mo CA and ADAS-Cog scores of the two groups were improved(P < 0.01);(2)Comparison of each item value of Mo CA scale: the attention of MCI group after training was significantly improved(-0.802 ± 0.789)compared with that before training, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),while the other item scores were increased, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The scores of visual space and executive function(-0.630 ± 0.839),naming(-0.444 ± 0.751),attention(-0.519 ± 0.975)and language(-0.333 ± 0.734)in the moderate cognitive impairment group were significantly improved than those before training(P < 0.05).2.Comparison of LZC and Ap En value(1)Comparison between two groups: Before training, compared with the moderate cognitive impairment group, the Ap En of other leads except FP2 lead and the LZC of other leads except FP1 and T5 leads in MCI group were higher, but there was no significant statistically difference(P> 0.05).At the end of the10 th day of training,LZC and Ap En value of all leads in the group with moderate cognitive impairment were higher than that of MCI group, but there was no significant difference between the two groups(P > 0.05).(2)Comparison within the group: After 10 days of continuous training, the LZC and Ap En value of each lead in the two groups increased continuously, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01),and the fluctuation amplitude of the curve decreased gradually.Conclusions:1.Mind-control game training can improve the cognitive function of people with mild and moderate cognitive impairment.2.Mind-control training can significantly improve the attention of people with mild and moderate cognitive impairment, and can be transferred to other cognitive domains(such as visual space and executive function, language, naming function),which will bring good news for people with cognitive impairment whose main complaint is memory impairment.3.With the increase of training times, the brain electrical activity is gradually active, the EEG complexity and approximate entropy are on the rise, the cognitive function is improved.
