| Objective: The incidence of basal cell carcinoma has significant regional, ethnic, and skin color differences, and there have been multiple studies showing that it is associated with long-term sun exposure, radiation, exposure to or ingestion of arsenic, radiotherapy, local chronic wounds, burns, and immunosuppressants. It is related to genetic factors.Baotou,Inner Mongolia is an area with strong ultraviolet radiation intensity and long exposure time.Baotou is also an industrial city. The incidence of tumors and skin diseases has increased year by year. All of the above factors are related to the incidence of basal cell carcinoma.Explore the trend of basal cell carcinoma in Baotou in the past 10 years, and use statistical analysis methods to analyze the correlation between the incidence of basal cell carcinoma in Baotou and general factors, living and working styles, and past medical history factors. The major hospitals in the region are actively carrying out the prevention and treatment of basal cell carcinoma. Methods: Collected patients who were diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma during inpatient and outpatient treatment during the 10 years from January 2009 to December 2018 in major hospitals in Baotou.Collected three factors for each case,including:(1)basic data(Age,gender, affected area,etc.),(2)living and working methods(outdoor workers exposed to ultraviolet light all year round, workers exposed to arsenic, coal tar,asphalt,etc.),(3)previous medical history(human papilloma virus Infection, seborrheic keratosis, solar keratosis, pigmented nevus, tumors, etc.),using statistical analysis methods,to explore the incidence of basal cell carcinoma in Baotou in the past 10 years, and to derive the incidence of basal cell carcinoma and its incidence.Relevance to the three major categories of factors mentioned above.result:1.A total of 389 patients were diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma in 10 years. The ratio of the number of patients in the last 5 years to the first 5 years was 1.46: 1,and the annual incidence rate fluctuated between 0.01 ‰ and 0.02 ‰,showing an increasing trend. There were 165 males and 224 females cases with a male-to-female ratio of 1:1.36.The youngest patient is 23 years old,and the oldest patient is 91 years old.The average age of the patient is 65.63 ± 12.21 years, and the age of ≥60 was73.78%.There was no significant difference in age at onset and male-to-female ratio(P> 0.05).2.The course of disease is from 2 months to 30 years, with a median of 4 years.3.Skin lesions are particularly common in nasal units(29.82%),ocular units(20.31%),and buccal units(18.77%).Male and female patients have no statistical significance in the distribution of skin lesions in the head and neck, trunk, and limbs P> 0.05).4.In the clinical classification, the pigmentation type(316 cases 81.23%)and the erosion or ulcer type(285 cases 73.26%)were the main types. The presence or absence of erosion or ulcer formation on the tumor surface was different between different genders(P <0.05)and there were significant differences between age groups and onset sites(P<0.05).5.The main risk factors are age, occupational long-term sun exposure, and local chronic wounds. Conclusion: Basal cell carcinoma in Baotou area is more common in the elderly and more common in women. The disease has a long course, and the lesions are mainly distributed in the head and neck. Most of them are erosion or ulcer with pigmentation. The main risk factors are age, occupational long-term sun exposure, and local chronic wounds. |
