Objective: To explore the pathogens of community acquired pneumonia with cough and the associated clinical characteristics in neonate. Methods: Retrospective study on the clinical data of 696 neonates who diagnosed as neonatal pneumonia with cough between Jan 2014 and Dec 2018 in Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. Results: 696 CAP of neonate with cough had been included in our study, among them,517 cases are pathogen positive, accounting for 74.2%,and detected 687 strains of pathogen.Virus were identified in 258 cases, accounting for 74.2%,RSV was the main detected virus(92.3%),and followed by Parainfluenza virus(7.7%).381(54.7%)cases with bacterial detection,318 of cases are gram-negative bacteria(79.4%),82 are gram-negative bacteria(20.6%),while Klebsiella pneumoniae,Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus and Enterobacter cloacae turned out to be the predominant bacteria.Chlamydia trachomatis were detected in 16 cases, ureaplasma urealyticum were detected in 2 cases, pertussis were detected in 2cases.Mixed-detections were found in 165(23.7%)cases and mostly bacteria-virus co-detection.RSV with Klebsiella pneumoniae co-detection and RSV with Escherichia coli co-detection are the main detected. Conclusion: RSV and Klebsiella pneumoniae and Escherichia coli are mayor pathogens of neonatal community acquired pneumonia with cough. The mixed-detections of bacteria-viruses were common.
