Objective To analyze the clinical outcome of Peg-IFN?-2b in the treatment of inactive HBsAg carriers and the predictive value of serum HBsAg level on the efficacy. Methods 107 IHCs in our hospital from 2016 to 2019 were enrolled in this study.30 patients did not receive antiviral treatment as the control group,77 patients received PEG-IFN?-2b treatment as the treatment group, total therapy duration was no more than 96 weeks.Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the correlation factors of HBsAg clearance.Receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC)was developed to assess the predictive value of related factors on HBsAg clearance. Results A total of 107 subjects were included. At 48 week,HBsAg clearance rate and seroconversion rate in the treatment group were 24.7%and 9.1%,at 96 week raised to 40.3% and 19.5% respevtively.HBsAg clearance and HBsAg seroconversion was not achieved in control group at48 week or 96 week. The difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).Baseline HBsAg,12-week HBsAg decline,12-36 week HBsAgdecline, and 4-week ALT were all associated factors for HBsAg clearance(all P < 0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that the AUC of the above factors were 0.87,0.87,0.86 and 0.78,respectively,and the cutoff values were baseline HBsAg < 1.96 lg IU/ml,12-week HBsAg decline > of 0.7 lg IU/ml,12-36 weeks of HBsAg decline > of 1.2 lg IU/ml,and 4-week ALT > of 40.5 U/L.Conclusion High rates of HBsAg clearance and seroconversion could achieve in inactive HBsAg carriers treated with PEG-IFN ?-2b.The HBsAg clearance can be predicted by low baseline HBsAg,12-week HBsAg decline,12-36 weeks HBsAg decline and 4-week ALT elevation.
