Application Of Dental Operation Microscope In Root Canal Retreatment

Objective:The purpose of this paper is to analysis the reasons of root canal treatment failure,to evaluate the clinical efficacy of non-operative method,apical surgery and intentional tooth replantation in the root canal retreatment under dental operating microscope.Method: Choose 30 clinical cases with root canal treatment failure,then make analysis and diagnosis,develop appropriate treatment options according to the patient’s condition.Four typical clinical cases were selected,which including a case of removal of fractured endodontics instruments,a case of apical barrier technique,a case of apical surgery,a case of intentional tooth replantation.After the treatment,patients were followed up regularly to evaluate the clinical efficacy.Results: Four typical clinical cases all completed treatment successfully with the help of dental operating microscope.The short-term clinical efficacy was acceptable.Conclusion: The use of dental operation microscope in root canal retreatment can achieve satisfactory clinical efficacy in the cases with root canal treatment failure,contribute to preserve and restored teeth.
