Objective: To study the effect of hyperbilirubinemia on renal function of neonates by measuring the creatinine and urea nitrogen levels. Methods: A total of 201 newborns(?34 weeks)hospitalized in children's Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing Medical University from January 2017 to December 2017 were selected as the study objects.According to whether they were diagnosed with hyperbilirubinemia, they were divided into the experimental group of 151 cases and the control group of 50 cases.According to fetal age and bilirubin level, the experimental group was divided into three groups: term hyperbilirubinemia group, preterm hyperbilirubinemia group, mild hyperbilirubinemia group and severe hyperbilirubinemia group. The data of history, unconjugated bilirubin, creatinine and urea nitrogen were collected, and the results were analyzed. Then we analyzed the correlation of unconjugated bilirubin, creatinine and urea nitrogen with Pearson. Results: 1.Compared with the control group, there was no significant difference in urea nitrogen level between the experimentalgroup and the control group(P>0.05).The creatinine level of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05),suggesting that the increase of creatinine level was related to hyperbilirubinemia.2.Compared with the severe hyperbilirubinemia group, the urea nitrogen level of the mild hyperbilirubinemia group was higher, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05),and the creatinine level was not statistically significant(P>0.05).3.In the experimental group, compared with the preterm hyperbilirubinemia group(34~36+6 weeks),the unconjugated bilirubin level had no statistical significance(P>0.05),the urea nitrogen level of the preterm hyperbilirubinemia group(34~36+6 weeks)was higher than that of the preterm hyperbilirubinemia group(P>0.05),and the creatinine level of the preterm hyperbilirubinemia group(34~36 weeks)was higher than that of the term group(P>0.05)The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.The correlation analysis of creatinine, urea nitrogen and unconjugated bilirubin level in hyperbilirubinemia group showed that unconjugated bilirubin level had no correlation with creatinine level(r =-0.129)and urea nitrogen level(r =-0.015).Conclusions: neonatal hyperbilirubinemia is related to the increase of serum creatinine level, which is not related to the level of urea nitrogen.Compared with term infants, the change of serum creatinine in preterm infants with hyperbilirubinemia is more obvious, suggesting that thegestational age is related to the level of creatinine. The levels of creatinine and urea nitrogen in neonates with hyperbilirubinemia were not related to the degree of hyperbilirubinemia.
