| Objective:To understand the influenza vaccination coverage of children aged 3-6 years in Yingze district and related influencing factors through a questionnaire survey and provide scientific basis for improving the influenza vaccination coverage in Yingze district of Taiyuan. Methods:According to the geographical location, four kindergartens were randomly selected in Yingze district of Taiyuan, and investigated children aged 3-6 years and their parents in the selected kindergartens by questionnaire survey. The influencing factors of influenza vaccination among children aged 3-6 years in Yingze district of Taiyuan were analyzed by Logistic regression model.Results:1.A total of 1052 questionnaires were distributed in this survey, and 994 questionnaires were effectively collected, with the effective recovery rate of 94.49%.2.The influenza vaccination coverage of investigated children in 2016-2018 respectively were 11.6%,10.0%,11.2%,cumulative vaccination rate was 24.4%,and continuous vaccination rate was 2.1%.3.The top three reasons for not vaccinating the flu vaccine were "concerning about the safety of the flu vaccine","unknowing when to vaccinate the flu vaccine" and "influenza vaccination is not mandatory".4.Compared with 3-year-olds,the cumulative influenza vaccination coverage of4-year-olds(OR=0.497,95%CI: 0.339-0.727),5-year-olds(OR= 0.349,95%CI: 0.231-0.292),6-year-olds(OR=0.102,95%CI: 0.036-0.292)were lower.Compared with low cognition group about parents’ cognition of flu vaccines, the children of middle cognition group(OR=2.143,95%CI: 1.531-3.000)and high cognition group(OR=2.815,95%CI:1.606-4.932)had higher cumulative influenza vaccination rates.Among the ways for parents to acquire knowledge about influenza and influenza vaccine, parents’ acquisition of knowledge about influenza and influenza vaccine through vaccination units(OR=1.466,95%CI: 1.057-2.033)and doctors(OR=1.880,95%CI: 1.300-2.718)were the promoting factors for children aged 3-6 years to receive influenza vaccine in Yingze district of Taiyuan.Conclusion:1.The annual vaccination rate of children aged 3 to 6 in Yingze district of Taiyuan city from 2016 to 2018 was 11.6%,10.0% and 11.2%,respectively,with a cumulative vaccination rate of 24.4% and a continuous vaccination rate of only 2.1%.2.The annual vaccination rate of children aged 3 to 6 in Yingze district was lower than that in Binzhou city of Shandong province, the cumulative coverage rate was similar to that of Hunan province, and the continuous coverage rate was lower than that of Yuzhong district of Chongqing. However, the annual vaccination rate in Yingze district of Taiyuan city is far lower than that in the United States,South Korea,Japan and other developed countries3.The age of children,Parents’ knowledge of flu vaccine,Parent obtained knowledge of influenza and influenza vaccine through vaccination units and doctors are important related factors. It is suggested to conduct health education on influenza vaccination,in order to raise the awareness of influenza and influenza vaccine among different populations. |
