Study On The Correlation Between Eustachian Tube Function And Otitis Media

Objective:1.The Eustachian tube score(ETS)of patients with different types of otitis media was measured by TMM,and the correlation between the functions of the eustachian tube and otitis media was analyzed.2.BET was used to treat patients with otitis media with ETD,and the clinical value of BET in the treatment of otitis media with ETD was analyzed.Methods:1.The Eustachian tube ventilation function of 185 patients with various types of otitis media were measured using TMM manometry.Group A:80 cases(116 sides)of chronic suppurative otitis media group(quiescent period),and Group B:There were 78 cases(128 sides)in the secretory otitis media group,group C:13 cases(16sides)in the middle ear cholesteatoma group,and group D:14 cases(15 sides)in the simple eardrum perforation group.A rank-sum test was used to compare the ETS objective scores of all affected ears to all normal ears in each group.2.A total of 26 patients(52 sides)with otitis media and ETD were clinically treated with BET,and the objective ETS score of all patients before surgery was compared with the objective ETS score of 3 months after surgery by rank sum analysis.Results:1.The ear ETS of group A was 4.69±1.33,the normal ear ETS was 4.84±1.20,(P_A=0.507);the ear of group B was 3.64±1.89,the normal ear ETS was 4.61±1.50,(P_B=0.013);group C The ear ETS was 3.56±1.97,the normal ear ETS was 5.30±0.95,(P_C=0.022);the group D ear ETS was 4.53±1.19,and the normal ear ETS was4.85±1.14,(P_D=0.489).ETS in normal ears was higher in each group.2.The ETS of all patients before operation was 3.29±1.52,and the ETS of 2months after operation was 4.90±1.10,P<0.005.The effective rate of treatment was 92%.Conclusions:1.The results of this study show that ETD is closely related to the occurrence and development of otitis media.2.TMM is a simple,economical,non-invasive and accurate method for evaluating eustachian tube function.3.Eustachian tube balloon dilation has good clinical value in the treatment of otitis media with ETD,can solve eustachian tube dysfunction,and has high safety,which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
