Objective:To compare the efficacy and safety of Q-switch 1064 nm Laser combined with glycolic acid peels and Q switch 1064 nm laser alone in thetreatment of melasma?Methods:42 patients with definite diagnosis of melasma who visited the plastic surgery clinic of our hospital were collected as the study objects from November 2017 to November 2019,and they were divided into observation groupand control group with21 cases each according to the completely randomizedgrouping method ? control group:Q-switch 1064 nm Laser was treated alone once every 4 weeks and 4 times for a course,16 weeks is an observation period of treatment, observation group:Q-switch1064 nm Laser combined with glycolic acid peels which were treated once every 4weeks and 4 times for a course. Two methods were used interchangeably for 2 weeks,16 weeks is an observation period of treatment,After the treatment, the patients were photographed and archived, and the mean area and severity index(mMASI)scores of chloasma were assessed.Meanwhile, the patients were investigated for satisfaction, and Immediate adverse reactions during treatment and follow-up were recorded,SPSS software was used to analyze the scores before and after treatment?Results:1.The mean area and severity index(mMASI)score of melasma in the single Q-switch 1064 nm laser group and the combined group decreased by2.03±1.91 and4.19±1.62 respectively. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(t=-3.334,p=0.021<0.05)?2.The improvement rate of melasma in the single Q-switch 1064 nm laser group and the combined group was 42.86% and 76.19%respectively.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(?2=4.84,p=0.028<0.05)3.The satisfaction score of the single Q-switch 1064 nm laser and the combined group was 38.10% and 71.43%,respectively.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(?2=4.71,p=0.03<0.05)?4.Transient complications, such as prickling erythema, appeared in the treatment of the two groups, among which 1 case of transient pigmentation appeared in the simple laser group, which subsided spontaneously after 3 months.Conclusion:1.Q-switch 1064 nm Laser and Q-switch 1064 nm Laser combinedwith glycolic acid peels can both effectively improve melasma.2.Q switch 1064 nm laser combined with alpha hydroxy acid is more effective and safer in the treatment of chloasma than the pure laser group.
