Objective:To investigate the guiding significance of calculi load?calculi volume*calculi maximum CT value?in predicting the therapeutic effect of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy for upper ureteral calculi. Methods:A total of 151 patients diagnosed with upper ureteral calculi?1.0-2.0cm in size, mild and moderate hydronephrosis in kidney?and hospitalized in the urology department of The Specialized Hospital of Lithiasis Disease of Nanchang from August 2019 to February 2020,were selected as the study objects;to collect the data of calculi patients with maximum CT value?HU?,the average CT value?HU?,the longest axis?cm?,the calculi volume(cm^3),calculi load?calculi volume*maximum CT valume?,calculi load 1?calculi volume*average CT value?,calculi load 2?the longest axis*maximum CT valume?,calculi load 3?the longest axis*average CT valume?,the age and the gender. Also,to collect the patients'data of ultrasonography B and KUB examination, which were underwent the ESWL treatment two weeks ago.To investigate the guiding significance of calculi load(?calculi volume*maximum CT valume?in predicting the therapeutic effect of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy for upper ureteral calculi. Results:Calculi maximum CT value, the average CT value, the calculi volume, calculi load?calculi volume*maximum CT valume?,calculi load 1?calculi volume*average CT value?,calculi load 2?the longest axis*maximum CT valume?,calculi load 3?the longest axis*average CT valume?can be used to predict the effect of ESWL on ureteral calculi. The obove influencing factors are negatively correlated with the success rate of ESWL.That is,the greater the influencing factor are,the lower the success rate of ESWL treatment is.conclusion:The CT value obtained by non-contrast computerized tomography scan showed the hardness of ureteral calculi;calculi volume reflects the size of space occupied by calculi in the ureteral cavity, that is,the capacity of calculi.Calculi load=calculi volume*the maximum CT value, which both takes into account the hardness and capacity of calculi,is the most instructive for predicting the therapeutic effect of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy for upper ureteral calculi.
