| Objective: To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture and cupping therapy on acute liver meridian heat retention type herpes zoster in a randomized controlled study,and to provide a reliable basis for the better clinical application of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of herpes zoster.Methods: To screen the patients with acute stage of herpes zoster of liver meridian in the rehabilitation outpatient department,dermatology outpatient department and ward of our hospital.The patients in the control group were given varaciclovir hydrochloride tablets,300mg/ time,twice a day,and mecobalamin tablets,0.5mg/ time,three times a day for 14 consecutive days.On the basis of the control group,the treatment group selected ashi point and local skin lesions for acupuncture and cupping therapy,which was once a day from Monday to Friday,with a course of 14 days.Comparison of two groups of patients with general materials,including gender,age distribution,onset time and TCM symptom integral,herpes zoster comprehensive score,the happening situation of heritage neuralgia after herpes zoster pain,herpes recovery and improve the situation,compare and discuss the effect of the two groups after treatment,at the same time,to observe the change of blood routine before and after the treatment.Results: 1.There were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in gender distribution,age distribution,onset time,pain score,TCM syndrome score of liver meridian heat retention type,herpes zoster comprehensive score and blood routine(P > 0.05).2.The VAS scores of the two groups before and after treatment were statistically significant(P < 0.05).Compared with the control group,the time required for pain relief of 30% in the treatment group was statistically significant(P < 0.05).3.Comparison of local herpes in skin lesions: the time when the new herpes did not reappear,the time when the scab area was more than half,and the time when the scab completely fell off,the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P < 0.05).4.For the comparison between the treatment group and the control group,the differences in TCM syndrome score and herpes zoster comprehensive efficacy score were statistically significant(P < 0.05);The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05).5.The contents of leukocytes,neutrophils and lymphocytes in the two groups were compared within the group,and the differences in the contents of leukocytes,neutrophils and lymphocytes were statistically significant(P < 0.05).Compared between the two groups before and after treatment,there was no statistically significant difference in WBC and neutrophil content(P > 0.05),while the difference in lymphocyte content was statistically significant(P < 0.05).6.On the 30 th day after treatment,8 of 34 patients in the control group had posthumous neuralgia,and 1 of 34 patients in the treatment group had posthumous neuralgia.On the 60 th day after treatment and the 90 th day after treatment,there was no incidence of posthumous neuralgia in the treatment group,and there were 5 patients in the control group and 3 patients in the control group respectively.Chi-square test was performed on the data,and the differences were not statistically significant(P > 0.05).7.Compared with the efficacy of TCM syndromes,the total effective rate in the treatment group was 94.12%,and that in the control group was 73.53%.Comparison of the comprehensive efficacy of herpes zoster showed that the total effective rate of the treatment group was 91.18%,and that of the control group was 70.59%.Conclusion: 1.Acupuncture and cupping therapy can alleviate the pain symptoms of patients with herpes zoster,and the onset time is faster than oral treatment of western medicine.2.Puncture cupping can shorten the time for the patients to stop the occurrence of new herpes,the time for the crusts to coagulate and the time for the crusts to fall off.3.Acupuncture and cupping therapy can reduce the comprehensive score of herpes zoster and improve the TCM symptoms of liver meridian heat retention type.4.Puncture cupping therapy can increase the content of white blood cells and neutrophils and decrease the content of lymphocytes in the blood routine of herpes zoster patients.5.Acupuncture and cupping therapy can reduce the incidence of postherpetic neuralgia within 1 month after treatment. |
