| Driving performance refers to the driver’s driving ability in normal driving. With the growing popularity of the car, people pay more attention to traffic safety, the evaluation needs of drive performance for the traffic management department and operation of enterprises are increasing. The road conditions, weather conditions, vehicle conditions and driver’s physical health have a direct impact on the driver’s emotions in the driving processes.Driver’s anxiety associated with the incidence of traffic accidents. The study based on the review of past theoretical and empirical research about impact of anxiety on the driver’s driving performance. To carry out the study under the conditions of high speed road and urban road,to analysis the influence of anxiety on the driver’s driving performance. This not only has a certain theoretical significance to promoting the research about driver’s driving performance, but also has a certain practical significance for intervention and regulation driver’s anxiety during the process of driving. In this study,we monitored participants’ eye movements by using a TobiiT120 eye tracker. We investigated the influence of anxiety on driving performance under conditions of high speed road and urban road,we also measured participants’ physiological indicators to make sure we induced anxiety successfully.Based on the analysis and discuss of the study results, this study comprehensive gender, emotional state, the driver’s visual processing mode and the driver’s visual search mode, discussed the combined effects of different emotional state on the driver’s driving performance. The main conclusions were all as follow:(1)Anxiety is likely to cause driver vision processing efficiency and driver visual search efficiency decreased, while anxiety attributes prompting the driving performance.(2)The male drivers’ visual processing efficiency is higher than female’s under high speed road conditions,is lower than female’s under urban road conditions;the male drivers’ visual search efficiency is lower than female’s under high speed road conditions;the male drivers’ hit rate under conditions of anxiety was significantly higher than female’s.(3)In the high-speed road conditions, controlling for gender, simple reaction time and emotional state variables, the more longer the drivers’ first fixation duration, the shorter time to first mouse clicks;in the urban road conditions, controlling for gender, simple reaction time and emotional state variables, the longer the drivers’ total fixation duration, the shorter time to first mouse clicks. |
