There are more than thirty thousand pieces of the Han Dynasty bamboo slips obtained from Juyan area,which recorded a lot about the situation of the frontier fortress garrison soldiers and their families in the Han Dynasty.In particular,the family members of the garrison soldiers,which can not enter the official of historical classics,in many of the various Juyan account book records.In this paper,we take the Juyan frontier fortress garrison soldiers family of the Han Dynasty.And as the breakthrough point,we use the bamboo slips materials and related literature handed down from ancient times to the garrison activities of frontier fortress garrison soldiers of Hexi area more in-depth research.Which can give us a clearer understanding of the political activities of this period,as well as the underlying social life,represented by garrisoners and their dependents.In this paper,we first use the Juyan bamboo slips of garrison soldiers families' documents,to classify them by means of paleography.Secondly,in relation to the problems involved in the Mingji of garrison soldiers' family members,such as "what kind of garrison soldiers can carry their families" to explore in depth.Immediately after this issue,to further discuss "what kind of dependents can be carried by garrison soldier ".And to continue to analyze the structure of family members,family structure and family size.In addition,for theacademic debate on the larger issue of "garrison soldiers family members actually live where",on the basis of previous studies,through the analysis of the bamboo slips materials and the related sites in Juyan area,frontier garrison soldiers families put forward "Jushu" temporary existence,is a normal living.Finally,the article gives a detailed introduction and analysis of the life and management of the garrison soldiers families during the garrison.
