A Study Of Anthropology Documentary Creation's Characteristics

Anthropology documentary is to use dynamic images(namely films and TV arts)to record and express the anthropological knowledge and concepts,to describe cultural changes of human society,and to academically explore and culturally explain the pool of anthropological visual works.As a unique type of documentary,anthropology documentary distinguishes itself from common documentary in shooting subject,shooting perspective,and on-the-site shooting methods and has its own creation aesthetics.Typically,anthropology documentary mainly displays human evolution process and dynamic cultural changes;different from common documentary,anthropology documentary adopts not only objective perspective in common documentary but also a mixture of objective perspective and subjective perspective;anthropology documentary tends to take longer time in observation.This paper uses literature review and field practice as the main research methods,and clarifies its statement from the theory and practice method of anthropology documentary in three parts: the first part offers some theoretical knowledge of anthropology documentary.In the second part,the author analyzes characteristic of anthropology documentary creation.In the third part,the author describes the whole process from planning to editing with his real-world shooting as the background and proves filming and production method of anthropology documentary with an integration of theories and practices.
