With the rapid development of information technology,smart phones and other mobile terminal equipment has been integrated into people's life and learning.As a professional software for English listening,Zhi Mi Listening can meet the needs of people to carry out the informal learning anytime and anywhere,spread short,small,scattered,fragmented and useful knowledge information.Extracurricular learning to be a kind of expectations of students,teachers and parents,because of the uneven distribution of education resources,exam pressure,the limit of the learning time and the heavy learning task.At present,domestic research of Zhimi Listening's applications in junior high school of English listening and teaching is lack of scientific research,through search of the literature.This study uses ZhiMi Listening as the research object,using literature method,a quasi-experimental study,combined with the investigation method,discusses the application of ZhiMi Listening in junior high school extracurricular English learning,through the listening test,exam the application effect,put forward the corresponding suggestion.In this article,through this topic background and the related theory,summarized the research results of ZhiMi Listening and other listening software,analysied the learning needs and habits of Junior high school students in English listening,described the development,functions and characteristics of ZhiMi Listening.According to the listening course objectives of the eighth grade and the listening content,we analysied the application feasibility of ZhiMi listening,designed the extracurricular learning process and the listening case.Summarized the strengths and weaknesses of Zhi Mi Listening in junior high school in English extracurricular learning and put forward the suggestion,by listening tests,questionnaires,interviews and other methods.Through the study: First,English extracurricular learning can increase interest in listening based on the ZhiMi Listening,and can provide learners with fun and time,meet the personalized needs of learning resources,in the process of learning students can get great satisfaction and a sense of achievement;Second,ZhiMi Listening allows students to arrange their own learning time and learning progress with scientific learning process,personalized settings and learning plan,set up the ideas of autonomous learning,which benefit for cultivate it;Third,it provides equal education resources shared in the platform,students can study independently,to enhance the confidence of themselves;Fourth,in the learning process,students combined with their own needs,learning and thinking,improves their ability of thinking and Analysis;At last,ZhiMi Listening has obvious advantages compared with other tools,but lack of interactive platform such as BBS,this don't good for real-time communication between the teachers and the students.In order to give full play to the advantages in ZhiMi listening,overcome the defect of its application,the author suggested that in the process of the application: First,changing mode,establishing the learning consciousness,cultivating autonomous learning habit through ZhiMi Listening;Second,build ZhiMi Listening community interactive platform,to promote students' discussion;Third,structure ZhiMi Listening study flow diagram,English listening autonomous learning should be carried out in stages;Fourth,respect the uniqueness of the students,teaching them according to their aptitude;At last,transformate listening training methods appropriately,to improve the effect of the listening learning.
