A Study Of Metaphorical Problems In Eco's Semiotics Thought

Metaphor plays an important role in the formation and development of language and people's speech exchange activities,Therefore,metaphor becomes the object of study of many scholars.It is undeniable that the metaphorical research in many disciplines has advantages and disadvantages.On the basis of analyzing the multiple dimensions of metaphor research and the problems existing in metaphor research,we use the methodology of semiotics to study metaphor,and provide some theoretical basis for metaphor research,and try to solve the problems of metaphor research.As the famous Italian semiotics,Eco has a systematic understanding in the metaphor and symbols.This paper studies the problem of metaphor form the Eco's semiotics thought,elaborates the problem of metaphor and symbolic relation in Eco's semiotics thought,the symbolic mechanism of metaphor in Eco's symbolic thought,the symbolic meaning of metaphor in in Eco's semiotics thought.In the process of metaphor research,Researchers have a good understanding of the relationship between metaphor and symbols in order to understand the symbolic mechanism of metaphor.Researchers have a good understanding of the relationship between metaphor and symbols and the symbolic mechanism of metaphor in order to Understand the the symbolic meaning of metaphor.By elaborating on the study of metaphor in the Eco's Semiotics thought,this paper hopes that the researchers can grasp the metaphor more accurately and solve the confusion in metaphor research.This paper also hopes to provide the semiotic theory support for the development of metaphor.
