A Research On Maternal Kinsfolk Appellations In Gansu Dialect

Kinsfolk Appellations is an important part of dialect vocabulary,which reflects the user's statue and social relationship.The research selected 80 subdialects in Gansu,sorted out the system of maternal kinsfolk appellations in Gansu,using investigating method,description method and comparison method.A map was used to reveal its geographical distribution.It contained four parts.Part 1 detailedly described the pattern map of maternal kinsfolk appellations in Gansu.Part 2 researched the use of the maternal kinsfolk appellations in Gansu,including the analysis of quasi-kinsfolk appellations.Based on Linguistics,Part 3 made a deep research on the morphology,word creation and lexical meaning.Part 4 explained the deep relationship between the maternal kinsfolk appellations and family social system,cultural awareness,thinking model and national psychology from culturology aspect.The purpose of this research was to have a restricted view in the inner system of appellations and the regular pattern of the development of dialects,and then have an examination on the cultural connotation and social value of kinsfolk appellations,promote interpersonal communication,family stability and social harmony.
