CET Academic Project’s full name is "China Education Tours",which was founded in 1982.In the past 30 years,CET academic programs has been committed to language education in the United States,its characteristic is,making the students learn the target language in the target language countries,and actively integrated into the local social life and environment to learn language and culture.CET Chinese projects in the United States,which has more than 30 years history,has become one of the most popular foreign language teaching programs during the long-term developing and perfecting.Therefore,carrying out the "student-centered" education philosophy effectively is very important for improving and enhancing the efficiency of CET project in Chinese classroom teaching and the project’s long-term rapid development.Thus,making a real and effective empirical research for classroom teaching of CET project is necessary.In this paper,the introduction part mainly includes the significance of topic selection,research summary about CET project and "student-centered" teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the relevance theory,research objects and research methods,corpus collection and video transfer.The first chapter introduce the course of CET project,including the curriculum setup and requirements,teachers composition and the introduction of the four major courses,which includes large class,small class,seminar,and one to one class.The second chapter mainly analysis the"student-centered" teaching characteristics of CET project,including the choice of teaching material,the context,test design and extracurricular activities.Chapter 3 and chapter 4 are the focus of this paper,which is the case analysis of "student-centered"Chinese teaching of CET project,putting focus on the lesson plan and the collective lesson preparation,transfer of class records,classroom teaching and existing deficiency to analyze "student-centered" Chinese teaching of CET project.Among them,the third chapter is the case analysis of small class teaching,the fourth chapter is the case analysis to the teaching of seminar.In Chapter 5,the author put forwards some suggestions about "student-centered" small class and seminar classroom teaching of CET project.In the part of conclusion,the author presents the achievement of this paper,the limitations of this paper and the idea for future research.
