Analysis Of Shaping Ceramic Arts

The shaping of ceramics plays an important role in ceramic arts because ceramic makers,designers and purchasers all consider it in the first place.In recent years,people's living standards have been constantly improved and ceramic works can also keep pace with the times.The diversity and aesthetics of ceramic works and the preservation and innovation of ceramic shaping are all developed constantly.In recent years,many ceramic artists have combined diversified ceramic shaping types to modern ceramic works,which makes ceramic works have independent characters of folk art works.This kind of expression technique not only enriches the shaping way of ceramics but also highlights folk arts of our country.During our study in the university,we should not only learn ceramic arts through books,but should also display ceramic works by ceramic shaping.This paper researches the application of ceramic shaping based on the graduation design of the author.It includes three chapters:Chapter 1 introduces the concepts,including the concept of ceramic arts and that of ceramic shaping;Chapter 2 introduces two stages in the development and change of shaping industry of modern ceramic arts in China,including the stage from the establishment of PRC to the period of reform and opening-up(where working situations of toiling masses were publicized and promoted)and the stage from the period of reform and opening-up till now(diversified development stage when western elements were used in ceramic creation);Chapter 3,also the main part of this paper,gives a detailed introduction to the application of ceramic shaping in the field of ceramic arts by introducing and analyzing some excellent works of China in recent years and the graduation design of the author.Chapter 3 can be divided into four parts:"plane reference","three-dimensional arrangement","image expression"and "deconstructing expression".this paper also discusses the application of ceramic shaping in the field of ceramic arts.Finally,this paper puts forward that the development of ceramic art works in China should display local cultures with distinctive Chinese characteristics and shall give full play to folk arts.Only in this way can ceramic works of China have a better development and can they better show the charm of oriental arts.
