The Creation Of Animal Image In Mei Yaochen's Poetry

Animal image in poetry starts to carry poet's emotion from the publication of Book of Songs.Image is not only an important part of poetry,but also a window through which we could learn about the internal thought of the poet.Mei Yaochen is the founder of Song poetry,and the key figure to work as a connecting link between Tang Dynasty and Song Dynasty.From Mei's poetry on,Song poetry creates a new way with its own characteristics which is totally different from Tang poetry.The unique characteristic of Mei's poetry is that there are many animal images,which move the readers with their own images and carry the emotion and dream of the poet at the same time.The paper includes six parts:introduction,epilogue and other four parts of the body.The first part is a general introduction about the animal image in the poetry,which includes the definition of the image,in other words:the connotation of the image,the distinctions between the image and the figure as well as the state.It could be dated from the animal image before Song dynasty.The second part is an introduction about the animal images in the poetry which are created in different times by Mei Yaochen.The third part is to illustrate the unique character of animal image in Mei's poetry.And the author manages to find out the similarities about animal images between Mei's poetry and that of the times before Song dynasty from three aspects:emotional implication,political connotation and artistic expression.Besides,the author chooses the animal images from poetry of Wang,Su and Ou in terms of synchronicity to analyze the unique characteristic of the animal image in Mei's poetry.Finally,the author takes the hitting-point of the animal image in Mei's poetry to study the content of the poetry.The fourth part is to explore the Birds Word Poem of Mei Yaochen and its artistic influence.The author also studies the influence on the creation of later poetry brought by subject matter and artistic feature of the Birds Word Poem...
