The integration of technology in teaching gradually received extensive attention of scholars.Based on the content and pedagogical knowledge,Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge provides a new intellectual framework for technology integration in teaching.It is not only a simple overlapping of the three elements(technology,pedagogy and content),but forms a kind of new forms of knowledge beyond the three elements.Teachers' attitudes and beliefs for technology integration gradually influence their daily teaching activities.Therefore,self-efficacy of technology integration interacts with the teachers' technological pedagogical content knowledge(TPACK).Based on the TPACK theory,constructivism theory and social cognitive theory,this study conducts the questionnaire survey with the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge scale and self-efficacy of technology integration scale on 110in-service senior high school English teachers,3 of whom have in-depth interviews.Thus,utilizing the quantitative research methods in conjunction with qualitative research methods can make the results more scientific and accurate.Through analyzing the results of the survey,the findings are:(1)The senior high school English teachers have been equipped with a high level of CK,while their TPK and TCK levels are lower than CK.Based on the three core elements' influence on its overall level,the relatively low level of TK would affect the level of the integration with other elements.(2)The English teachers have high self-efficacy of technology integration.Especially,English teachers' self-evaluative outcome expectancy and the social outcome expectancy for effectively using technology in class is high.However,their self-efficacy about technology integration for teaching and students is relatively low.(3)English teachers' TPACK level is significantly related with their self-efficacy of technology integration.If the teachers have high self-efficacy,they integrate technology actively,which will promote the development of TPACK.Finally,this thesis suggests that the development of TPACK could be realized through the improvement of the teachers' self-efficacy of technology,and the teachers' training and professional development could enhance the improvement of self-efficacy of technology.Therefore,how to effectively use social resources,complete school facilities,as well as promote teachers' self-learning for further studies brings some thinking for teacher professional development.
