In recent years,China's National Education Examinations Authority(NEEA)has made a major adjustment to the English test in the national college entrance examination,by deleting the traditional questions — multiple choice,and adding a new type of questions-filling the blanks.The traditional questions such as choice is relatively rigid,while the new type of questions require students to pay more attention to the application of words and grammar in the semantic understanding and in context.Therefore,the new type of questions calls for higher requirements for the students'English comprehensive application ability,and higher requirements for English teaching as well.Chinese has always attached great importance to the education of children in our current education system.Original English teaching is a more basic way of examination-oriented education and has too much emphasis on memory.Traditional cultivation and application of the English language ignore the context,leading to the emphasis on vocabulary,grammar and sentence structure and lacking in training for students' comprehensive ability.The present traditional English teaching method cannot improve the students' comprehensive ability in English effectively and accurately.Therefore,the reform aimed at this shortcoming is going to lead teachers to better teaching.Based on the current situation of English teaching in China,the reform of new type of questions in the national college entrance examination and students' comprehensive English application ability,the paper did research and detailed analysis of the basic language teaching for the new type of questions and daily English teaching.Firstly,from the perspective of practical application,this paper starts from the basic concept and classification of context teaching and analyzes the basic contents and basic methods of context teaching.Secondly,a detailed analysis of the current teaching strategies in the English teaching is carried out.Finally,with 180 senior one students as the research object,the writer uses the questionnaire survey method and interview method.And the corresponding three different teaching methods used in the new type of questions in the college entrance examination are studied.This study found that:1.the domestic context teaching strategies for language study also mainly in the theoretical research stage;however,the practice of related research remains to be done in depth;2.in the study of the problem,the present problems existing in the context teaching are:the materials the teachers take for the teaching are unpractical;there is imbalanced between teachers and students;complicated teaching preparation restricts teachers' willingness to prepare the lesson;the lack of the academic level and ability to organize affects the implement of context teaching;3.the study also found that in the organization of teaching,to take comprehensive context teaching method is effective;we should actively promote standardization and scale of context teaching;optimize teaching strategies dynamically on the basis of student feedback and the teaching result;bring in and cultivate English teachers constantly.The paper studies the existing problems in the context teaching on the basis of the research process and research results,and puts forward the specific measures of improving context teaching,to some extent,hoping to be able to improve the current situation of English teaching and promote the English teaching effectiveness of the new type of questions in the national entrance examination.
