| The relation between China and Thailand has a long history and the two countries also have maintained close contacts.During the Sukhothai Dynasty in Thailand,many Chinese immigrants lived in Thailand.When immigrants came to Thailand,they also brought many religious culture.Thailand is known as the "State of the Thousand Buddhas," and is known as the "Yellow Cabernet Kingdom." The influence of Chinese Buddhism has spread through culture and society of Thai religion.China-Thai cultural exchange has been promoted the closeness of China-Thai relations.It proved that China and Thailand are having a good relation.This article focuses on the Chinese temples in Bangkok,Thailand,to study about the cultural changes in Chinese temples.As the most famous Chinese temple in Thailand is"Leng Noei Yi Temple",it has the most effect for Thailand.Therefore,I chose the Leng Noei Yi Temple as an example.The study of this article is divided into five parts:The first part main introduces deeply the history of Chinese people who moved to Thailand and comprehend the factors and conditions of Chinese migration at that time.Since Thailand’s pre-history to the Sukhothai dynasty,the Ayudhya dynasty,the Thonburi dynasty,and Chakri dynasty it assimilates of Chinese society in Thailand until now.The second part introduces the basic situation of the establishment of the Leng Noei Yi Temple in Bangkok,Thailand,including the Bodhisattvas,Buddhas and the fairies at the Leng Noei Yi Temple.The third part mainly talks about the establishment and development of Hua Tuzong in Thailand,the history of Hua Tuzong school,the introduction and education of Thai Buddhism,and the management rules and living habits of Chinese monk in Thailand.In the fourth part,this chapter mainly discusses the important festivals and ways of worship of the Leng Noei Yi Temple and the necessary things for worship.The fifth part mainly talks about the status and influence of theLeng Noei Yi Temple among the Chinese in Thailand.The social influence of the Leng Noei Yi Temple in Bangkok and the influence of the Leng Noei Yi Temple on Thai assimilation,and the influence of the Leng Noei Yi Temple on non-Chinese Thais.The sixth part is an epilogue summarizing the interviewing of admirers in the Leng Noei Yi Temple.Based on the analysis of the interviews,it discusses the status and influence of the Leng Noei Yi Temple in Thailand. |
