"Ka Chu" or "Ga chu" in Tibetan, nowadays officially called Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, was one of the major agricultural regions of ancient Tibeto-Burman people on the most northeastern Tibetan plateau and since 7th century had become a part of Tibetan mdo smad or Amdo "rtavi chol kha"(horse region) and until early 18 century it was largely a Tibetan Buddhist dominated region and there were a large Tibetan population. Only for the last century the region has largely become an Chinese Hui Muslim and Han Chinese dominated region and the population shifted to the population of Chinese dialect-speaking Muslim(Hui people) and Han Chinese as well as Mongolian dialect -speaking Muslims(Dongxiang People) although nowadays there are still some two hundreds Chinese style of Tibetan Buddhist monasteries and temples or Tibetan style of Chinese Buddhist monasteries and temples to be in existence there(officially recognized 153 Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in the governmental documents)This author has visited over 32 of 153 officially recognized the Tibetan Buddhism Monasteries in Linxia Hui Autonomous prefecture from August to November in 2014, learned that now in linxia region Tibetan Buddhists are the local Han Chinese people, every monastery or temple has associated with own villages and population,which retains the traditional form of Tibetan traditional "tsho ba" at some extent. Because the major believers are the Han people, the Tibetan Buddhist temples or monasteries have gradually gotten the sinozation and local Tibetan Buddhist monks call this Buddhist institution "Chinese style of Tibetan Buddhist monasteries and temples(CSTBMT)". There are also some originally Chinese Buddhist institutions where the local Han Chinese villagers invited the Tibetan Buddhist monks from the neighboring Tibetan area to reside there as resident monks and some of the local intellectuals call those institutions "Tibetan style of Chinese Buddhist monasteries and temples(TSCBMT)"...
