Zhang Wei,known as a serious writer,is dedicated to the creation of children’s literature after he finished You are on the Plateau,which catches many people’s attention.In order to have an overview of Zhang Wei’s creation of children’s literature,this paper lists and summarizes Zhang Wei’s works on children’s literature during different periods from the perspectives of theme and connotation,value and significance,as well as creation reflections.It is found that Zhang Wei’s creation of children’s literature is akind of "return".This paper consists of five parts,including Introduction,Main Body(divided into three parts)and Conclusion.The Introduction introduces the research status about Zhang Wei’s creation of children’s literature,illuminating the conception,main contents and research significance.Chapter One reviews the development and evolution of Chinese children’s literature as well as summarizes the research status and limitations of it.Based on the theme and connotation,Chapter Two analyzes Zhang Wei’s creation of children’s literature from the aspects of "nature","respect","history",and"reflection".With the concept of "children’s literature is the center of literature" as the starting point,Chapter Three is divided into three sessions:the first session analyzes the "the return of poetic heart" and "the demonstration of childlike heart",discusses the quality of Zhang Wei’s literary works for children and points out that Zhang Wei’s creation of children’s literature is a kind of "return";the second session talks about the significance of Zhang Wei’s literary works for children after the literature review of research status and limitations,and holds the view that Zhang Wei’s creation of children’s literature infuses decorum,profundity and generosity into the children’s literature stage;the third session begins with the confrontation between"poetic heart" and "childlike heart",probes into the deficiencies in Zhang Wei’s literary works for children and finds that although children’s literature is the "return way" of Zhang Wei’s creation,his literary works for children is still "lost in way".In Conclusion,it is found that Zhang Wei,via his profound culture deposits,brings everlasting possibility and inclusiveness for his literary works for children.However,his too clinging "poetic heart" has already caused his departure from "childlike heart".Zhang Wei’s pureness,honesty,and clinging spirits should be acclaimed.Meanwhile,his deep-rooted ideas should also be valued with more reasonable judgement.
