A Study Of Qian Mu's Concept Of The Harmony Of Tian And Mankind

In Qian Mu's academic ideology,the thought of harmony between Tian and mankind has always been in an important position.He realized deeply that the significance of harmony between Tian and mankind and put emphasis on the impact of the Chinese concept of harmony between Tian and mankind,especially on the influence on tackling the problems of Chinese culture and European culture.Qian Mu's thought of harmony between Tian and mankind is precisely applying his method of researching historiography,that is,looking for problems from the present era and finding answers to problems from past eras.In his view,the traditional Chinese concept of harmony between Tian and mankind is of great help in resolving conflicts between the humanities and nature and the limitations of scientism.Looking at the current research situation,compared with the academic position of Qian Mu,the academic community pays less attention to Qian Mu's thought of harmony between Tian and mankind and lacks in-depth and comprehensive elaboration and analysis.The tremendous role that can be played by solving practical problems should arouse our full attention.This dissertation mainly uses the literature research method to try to highlight the value and significance of Qian Mu's thought of harmony between Tian and mankind.This dissertation is divided into four chapters to expound the connotation and manifestation of Qian Mu's thought of harmony between Tian and mankind,its causes,characteristics,and its inspiration and limitations.In chapter one,the author elaborates on the connotation and expression in literacy theory of Qian Mu's thought of harmony between Tian and mankind.Having analyzing Qian Mu's thought of harmony between Tian and mankind by exemplifying the relation between Tian and mankind in history,the author notes the connotation and expression of Qian Mu's thought of harmony between Tian and mankind in his literacy theory.What's more,the reason why Qian Mu developed the thought of harmony between Tian and mankind can be concentrated on Qian Mu's life experience,and the internal reason focuses on Qian Mu's metaphysical cosmology of the combination of Tao and Li,Qian Mu's view of xin,xing and culturology,Qian Mu's analyzing on ZhouGong's religion of Tian.The third chapter elaborates on the characteristics,including Qian Mu's putting emphasis on mankind and morality,being based on Confucianism and with the help of Buddhism and Taoism,and the historical spirit.Finally,in the fourth chapter,the inspiration and limitations of Qian Mu's thought of harmony between Tian and mankind are stated.The inspirations mainly focus on his view of science and scientism and his historical spirit,while the limitations are his imprudent analysis of western philosophy.Although he stresses the combination of western and Chinese culture,in fact he tends to pay more attention to Chinese culture instead of western culture.The harmony between Tian and mankind is an important characteristic of traditional Chinese culture.This concept has emerged from the pre-Qin dynasty,and its connotation has been continuously evolving in history.This ancient concept has revived its vigor in the sight of Qian Mu.It can be said that this is a very old idea,but at the same time it is a very new concept,how to understand this kind of new,grasp this kind of new,make full use of it,that is we are re-focusing on the significance of the concept of harmony between Tian and mankind,which is also where academics keep up with the requirements of the time.
