Self-control is one of the most important factors to reduce player's aggressive behavior,we use the General Aggression Model and the Strength Model of Self-control,and we think ego depletion will increase aggressive behavior. To reduce the occurrence of aggressive behavior, this research uses cognitive task and physical activity task, and is under the background of provocation, and then we replenishes the ego depletion to increase the athlete's self-control resources, and to reduce the aggressive behavior in the subsequent tasks. We also compare the replenishment effect of different replenishment methods, and to explore which replenishment method is more suitable for the sport scene. This study contains two formal of experiments.Study 1 selected 60 college athletes, and we use don't write horizontal task as a psychological cognitive task to induce ego depletion, and the power cycling task as a physical activity task to induce ego depletion, and competitive reaction task as an index of aggressive behavior. Both experiment are between groups design(ego depletion: yes,no),and to exploring the effect of ego depletion on aggressive behavior. The results showed: no matter which task we use,the ego depletion group of participants gave higher noise time level than those who didn't.Study 2 also use don't write horizontal task as a psychological cognitive task to induce ego depletion, and the power cycling task as a physical activity task to induce ego depletion and competitive reaction task as an index of aggressive behavior. Both are between groups design(different replenishment methods: glucose, exemplar prime,no replenishment),and to exploring which replenishment method is better to compensate ego depletion and how it affects the aggressive behavior. The results showed: when using psychological cognitive task, glucose and exemplar prime were both efficient to compensate ego depletion and to reduce aggressive behavior;when using physical activity task, glucose can reduce more aggressive behavior than no replenishment, but exemplar prime only show little difference with no replenishment. The findings suggest that the coaches and athletes can use glucose to quickly and effectively replenish ego depletion in competition, and to increase the self-control resources,so as to avoid athletes' aggressive behavior.
