With the development of economic globalization and the opening up of China,it is playing a vital role in national development to generally improve English ability.Therefore,high school students' English learning should be paid enough attention and stress.However,there are various problems to be addressed in senior high school English classroom,such as,passive attitude toward English learning,weak of autonomous learning and cooperative learning,without having an interest in English learning,leading to the imbalance of students' English ability developing.On the basis of this background,the flipped classroom teaching model is coming into our sight.The flipped classroom inverts the traditional classroom,that is to say,student learn the basic knowledge via watching online video uploaded by their teacher before class,and communicate with their teacher and peers about their opinions and unsolved problems while watching videos in class,which offers a new way of the educational reform.The flipped classroom stimulates students' interest in English learning and mobilizes students' learning enthusiasm.Students are able to control their own learning pace and rhythm,becoming the master of their learning rather than learning receiver.The questions of this research are: 1.Can the flipped classroom improve students' English academic achievement more effectively than traditional classroom? 2.Can the flipped classroom cultivate learners' autonomous learning ability more effectively than traditional classroom? 3.Can the flipped classroom stimulate students' interests in learning more effectively than traditional classroom? The instruments during the experiment include test,questionnaire,interview and SPSS 19.0.From September to December in 2017,the author conducted the research in Lingyuan city in NO.1 senior high school and chose 100 students in parallel class as research subjects.The results show that Students learning in the flipped classroom have an tendency to yield better academic achievement than that in traditional teaching classroom.Under the new instructional model,learners of the experimental class will have greater interest in learning English,compared with students who are in the control class.The flipped classroom greatly cultivates students' autonomous ability in learning English.
