Recently,English writing of high school students has become a hot topic in the new curriculum reform,which has received more and more attention.Some psychologists and scholars have found that learning style has a significant impact on English writing teaching.Therefore,teaching students in accordance with their aptitude is an effective way to improve students' learning achievement.This article studies on the learning style's influence on English writing teaching.This article focuses on the English writing teaching of senior high school students which is combined with the characteristics of students' learning style.And its theoretical foundation is the theories of learning style and English writing.There will be a questionnaire of learning style and the English writing test on all high school students of 5 classes who from E high school in Kashgar.Among them,105 students in class1 and class3 with the similar English writing level and learning style relatively will be selected as research subjects.The traditional teaching method is taken in class1,and the new teaching method based on learning styles is taken in class3.After four months,there will be a post-test of English writing in two classes.The SPSS is used to analyze the scores of pretest and the post-test of English writing in two classes.The research's conclusions are that the new teaching method has the positive influence on improving whole students' writing level.However,the scores of students who has one kind of learning style vary from the scores of students who has another kind of learning style.Students with visual,auditory and tactile learning styles have a greater degree of progress in the new learning style which is based on learning styles.While students with group and kinesthetic learning styles have little progress in new teaching method compared with the traditional teaching method.Students with individual learning style has barely no change in two teaching methods.This article consists of seven parts.The first chapter mainly introduce the research background and the research content.The second chapter is related literature review.The third chapter is the theoretical basis of learning style and English writing.The fourth chapter is the research design and research procedure.The fifth chapter is the collection of experimental data,related analysis and the answers to the research problems in the experimental process.The sixth chapter is the conclusion of the research and the relevant enlightenment.This thesis studies on the high school students' learning style's effect on English writing teaching in order to give some suggestions for English writing teaching.And I hope it could make some effects to English writing teaching.
