The Theory And Empirical Study Of Five Elements' Personality

The Five Elements Theory is a personality theory based on the Five Elements Thought.It is a very important theory about psychological phenomena in Chinese traditional culture.It mainly comes from the Yellow Emperor's internal classics.Later,after the refinement of scholars in the history,it was during the Republic of China that Mr.Wang Fengyi a more concrete Five Elements personality theory was proposed,and people are considered to be divided into wood walkers,firewalkers,earthwalkers,gold walkers,and waterwalkers using five elements: wood,fire,earth,gold,and water.And think that these five elements exist in everybody,but each person's five elements tend to be different.The Five Elements personality theory is currently only a theoretical concept.Whether it can accurately describe the personality structure of the Chinese people still needs further empirical research.For this reason,this paper designs the following two parts of the study: The first part studies the personality traits vocabulary of the five-person personality theory in Chinese traditional culture as the main literature data.Through open interviews and expert guidance,the five elements of the Five Elements personality vocabulary are compiled.The trait classification table I and the contents of the five elements of personality traits of the Five Elements of personality trait classification table II,on the "integration of heaven and human" "take analogy like" idea for the initial exploration;the second part of the study is the use of modern psychological personality vocabulary Learning methods,through open interviews,expert guidance,preparation of five-character personality scales and testing,preliminary exploration of the concept of the Chinese elements of the Five Elements in personality theory of the Five Elements,and the Chinese population of the five elements in the demographic variables The differences are discussed.The following are the results of the study:1.From Study 1 and Study 2,it is concluded that the Chinese people's idea of ?? "harmony between man and nature" is consistent with the idea of "harmony between man and nature" in the Five Elements Theory.2.Through the study of the third and the fourth research,the Chinese people's personality is composed of five dimensions,namely,observance,enthusiasm,inclusiveness,appropriateness,and gregariousness,and these five dimensions and the personality structure proposed by the Five Elements Theory.Consistent.3.According to Study 5,there are significant differences in the demographic variables such as age,gender,occupation and education of each dimension of the Chinese personality.
