The Creation Report Of The Series Of "Rhyming Flower" Series

Qi Baishi pointed out:"The amazing thing about painting lies between similarity and dissimilarity,too much similarity will make the paintings vulgar,while too much dissimilarity will make the paintings deceptive." This is the most accurate summarization of the freehand spirit of traditional Chinese paintings,meanwhile,it provides reference for the practices of water color artists in ChinaWater color paintings were introduced to China from the West,Chinese water color painters actively explore and study water color paintings,not only restricted to the outer expression of objects,emphasis is also given to inner spirit and aesthetic connotation,integrating the traditional Chinese aesthetic beliefs that man is an integral part of nature and our perceptions of the world will change with the changes of our soul into water color painting art.During three years of postgraduate learning,express my true inner feelings through paintings,and try to transmit the beauty of image and colors that I have felt.The creation reports records the process of water color creation through the way of expression of image taking flowers as the subject.Through comparison and analysis of traditional Chinese painting artistic language and Western painting artistic language,in addition to combining the reference and learning of contemporary water color painting artistic creation experience,my own artistic knowledge and understanding are enhanced and elevated,till finally accomplishing my own creation.The paper is divided into four chapters,the first chapter is about the"flowers" in the painting works,mainly comparing the "flowers" in Western painting works and those in traditional Chinese painting works,analyzing and elaborating on their similarities,dissimilarities and the beauty of flowers.The second chapter is about my creative reference and conception,and my own understanding and enlightenment.The third chapter records the process of creating the series of word titled "Style of Water and Image of Flowers"in a detailed way,this process is further divided into two stages.The first stage is flowers in the eyes,covering the collection of elements and sketching;my own creation depends on the depiction and expression of images in nature;during the second stage,I created the flowers in my mind,and have my own knowledge and perception of the aesthetic ideals of similarity and dissimilarity.The fourth chapter is a summary of the reflections and summary after my water color creation,reflecting and elaborating on my creation during the three years.
