The Correspondence Between The Beauty Of Soul And Image

This documentary film records a story in which the preschool teacher Shi Congyu in Montessori kindergarten of Qian’an City, Hebei province, devotes herself to all the children. It also deals with how the preschool teachers get along with the children and shows the reason why she works there is her love for children. The second part of this film depicts that Shi Congyu takes care of a child with cerebral palsy and help him to recover at weekends. This essay is based on the productive process of the film. The images are reflections of the reality. With the coordination of description of figures and images and the integration of music and images which are presented with full-length shot, the picture language is highlighted. Her noble deeds of taking care of children from kindergartens and welfare house show her inner beauty. With the Grierson’s Pattern and related theories, the inner beauty of the protagonist in the film will be further discussed.
