Language is the carrier of culture,the bond of national continuity and the tool of mutual communication.Multi-ethnic countries with multi-ethnic language education policies,emphasis should be palced on the promotion of the nation common language and protection of the right of ethnic minorities to use their own national languages.This will help the country to build harmonious nationalrelations and enhance the national identity of all ethnic groups and their recognition of the country.Therefore,the recognition of the national language education policy is mainly reflected in the following two aspects: on the one hand,the promotion of a language at the national level through various means,including school education,in order to be able to adapt to the management of the country and to the needs of economic and social development,and to promote exchanges among members of different ethnic groups;On the other hand,ethnic minorities' language rights should be protected through various measures,including schooling education,and their languages should be protected as cultural resources of the country.This study analyzed the background of New Zealand Maori language education policy's introduction from the three aspects of the historical development of Maori language education policy in New Zealand,the need of New Zealand to promote citizens' national identity,and the development of New Zealand's socio-economic and“power strategy” needs.The content of the New Zealand Maori language education new policy,the implementation and effectiveness of the New Zealand Maori language education policy,and the experience of the New Zealand Maori language education policy.The New Zealand M ? ori language education policy found that its success factors are as follows: The New Zealand government respects the “Watache Treaty”and actively supports the development of M?ori education,and the M?ori people also actively strive for and cooperate;the M?ori community resources are regarded as the first line of teaching resources,and the overall strategy is closely integrated with the community;Maori language nests and impregnated teaching programs plan to benefit,while emphasizing Maori cultural rejuvenation and improving M?ori student learningachievements,and setting different priorities according to different stages of education;Maori language Teacher education planning not only respects cultural features but also incorporates generality in the curriculum.In order to accelerate the development of New Zealand's society and economy,to realize social equity and justice,to protect Maori language and to inherit Maori culture,and to strengthen the national and national identity of Maori people,the Government formulated the Maori language Education Policy.Maori Language Nesting Movement,Maori National School and immersion education were carried out to revive Maori language successfully.Based on the analysis of New Zealand's Maori language education policy,this article summarizes the characteristics and experiences of Maori language education policy in New Zealand,and provides some references for our country to formulate language education policy.
