Vocal Music Study Of Classic Tea Picking Opera "Seeing Sister" Of Jiulongshan,Anyuan

Tea-picking Singing and Dance originated in Mountain Jiulongshan tea area(hereinafter referred to as Jiulongshan),around the middle of Ming Dynasty.Being in integration with Wugulong,local Dragon Lantern Dance,it evolved into "Tea Basket Lantern".During the turn of Ming Dyansty and Qing Dynasty,"Tea Basket Lantern"further developed into "Jiulongshan Tea Picking",in the context of prospering tea business of Jiulongshan with other areas such as Fujian and Guangdong,when tea-related culture thrived."Jiulongshan Tea Picking" is a major source of Tea-picking opera in southern Jiangxi.Through generations of development and tapping nutrients from other folklores,"Tea Basket Lamp" has become "Tea-picking Playlet”(commonly known as the "Triangle Theatrical Troupe"),which is composed of a simple story and characters of only two actresses and one clown.This is the earliest pattern of Jiulongshan Tea-picking Opera.This opera,with a history of several hundred years,gains popularity in Jiangxi province.This is an excellent form of local opera formed by the Hakka ancestors of Anyuan County in South Jiangxi in a long period of tea farming and production.Combining opera,song and dance,it boasts of regional specificity,culture,performance and entertainment.This paper mainly adopts the methods of case study to investigate "Seeing Sister",an outstanding classic of Jiulongshan Tea-picking Opera.,Based on previous studies and multi-dimension method of Ethnomusicology,the paper explores the history,geographical distribution,lineage and cultural,aesthetical orientation and origin of the opera.In the meantime,By micro-study and confirmation of related theory framework of artistic characteristics of “Seeing Sister” such as vocal music,etc,this paper majorly initiates a bold and innovative discussion of vocal music,music morphology and vocal literature characteristics of “Seeing Sister” as well as the current problems of inheritance and preservation and future development plans of Jiulongshan Tea-picking Opera's;Whereas by relatively comprehensive,formal and structural studies and analysis of sound and dance forms and roles' characteristics of selected parts of “Seeing Sister”,this paper attempts to make a rather comprehensive revelation of the culture connotation of “Seeing Sister” and thoroughly states that the creation of “Seeing Sister”is to praise the Hakka peoples' positive,pioneering and diligent attitude towards their life of hard working and artistic values of Hakka people's valor of breaching the shackles of feudal ethnic codes and progressive thoughts of craving for free love.Jiulongshan in Anyuan County is an important birthplace of Tea-picking Opera in the South of Jiangxi Province.The local government should attach great importance to the inheritance,protection,development and innovation of the operas.Through a case study of the singing music of the outstanding classic opera "See Sister",the author aims to promote the development of singing art of Jiulongshan Tea-picking Opera and other traditional operas.In particular,with regard to the exploration,cultivation and promotion of excellent singing actors as well as the study of the improvement and optimization of the opera singing,the author has proposed some constructive opinions,in order to fully reflect the regionalism,nationality,innovation and temporal spirit of the vocal music of Jiulongshan Tea-picking Opera.The innovation and development of the vocal music of Jiulongshan Tea-picking Opera gives a fresh enlightenment of artistic seeing and hearing.
