Teachers must be good at self-management in order to do a good job in classroom management.Teachers' self-management level restricts the whole level of the classroom management.Many problems that arise in the classroom teaching are often related to the fact that teachers are not good at self-management.However,the issues of self-management aren't been attracted enough attention.And because of some speciality of occupational education,there are still some problems of English teachers' self-management in occupational college.Therefore,it is very important to strengthen English teachers' self-management in the classroom of occupational colleges.In regard to this,the paper researches the present situation of teachers9 self-management in English class of W occupational College by the methods of interview and observation.The survey found that there are some questions of English teachers'self-management in the classroom of W occupational college:some teachers don't have strong sense of self-management,and can't be strict with themselves according to the teachers'professional ethics and behavioral norms,and consciously reflect and improve their own ethics.Some teachers do not pay attention to their teaching attitude and etiquette,and they lack the knowledge of the relevant learning.In the course of their teaching,they don't have the awareness of self-correction and self-improvement when these problems such as frequently moving,many gestures,and slovenly arise.There are some teaching problems to most of English teachers,such as single teaching methods,confused teaching organization,unreasonable blackboard designs etc.But they don't realize their lack of teaching skills,and don't enhance themselves through self-learning.Many teachers' mood fluctuate when they face some emergencies in the classroom,they can realize that their emotions will affect the whole teaching effect.However,they don't know how to manage themselves to adjust their mood,so that their and the whole class are not affected by negative emotions.The factors influencing the self-management of English teachers in W occupational college include two aspects:objective and subjective.Objective factors contain that college leaders don't have enough attention on the English course and English teachers' self-management and self-improvement,and the college has not yet established a scientific classroom teaching evaluation,incentive,punishment system,and it provide fewer training opportunities for English teachers,and students' English level is different etc.Subjective factors mainly include the lack of self-planning and self-reflection of English teachers etc.Based on the problems and influential factors of the English teachers,self-management in W occupational college,the following strategies need to be taken in order to improve English teachers' self-management in the class:English teachers should have strong awareness of improving their self-management,and be able to do self-planning and self-reflection,so as to enhance their own self-management in the class.Occupational colleges should pay attention to English teachers'self-management in the classroom,and strengthen the daily management of teachers'teaching,and provide many training opportunities for English teachers and make protection of hardware facilities.In the pre-service training of the "quasi-teacher",universities should set up some relative courses of self-management,and organize some teaching matches and make some rules to improve their career quality.
